We've done it again.
Who can resist the pathetic eyes of a stray animal? I can't tell you how many strays we have taken home. My dad absolutely hates it. Yesterday, we saw a mother cat and her kitten- both are gray, pretty cats, very tame... It was apparent they must have got dropped off by the owners. So, What do we do? We take them home.
We'll probably end up taking them to Happy Tails because they don't put them to sleep. God knows we don't need any more animals. We already have a chihuahua and three rats to feed. We don't need two cats on top of that. But it's been so cold and rainy all week, and it's still raining- so we brought them to our house and they are staying in a crate that used to belong to our dogs. It's better than leaving them out in the cold to try to fend for themselves. After all, they are domestic cats, and they don't have the instincts to try to hunt for food on their own. Especially not with a eight week old kitten. The mother cat seems a little neurotic as she meows a lot, but the kitten is really quite cute, very playful and very floppy.
