I was in the passengers seat of a convertible, it was red and my mother was driving the car. It was speeding along this winding mountain road, when suddenly the road ended, so the car halted. There was this old sign that read "Dead End" and I remember thinking, "There isn't any room to turn around on this narrow road." But my mom was turning it around anyway. We got stuck on the edge of a cliff, suspended there for several moments... Then the car tipped and it fell... As it was falling, I don't remember being very scared, I thought to myself, "This isn't real." and it landed upright at the bottom.
From that, I remember being alone outside where the car had fallen. There were all these identical houses. They were very odd looking, very beautiful homes, but there was a certain frightening feel to them. I entered the nearest home, the others were all in the distance, but this one stood alone. There was this really ornate looking entrance hall. To my left and my right, there were these stairs leading upward. There was also this door in the back, but a woman, who I assumed was the mother of the house was standing at that door with a large, constant fake smile, a cooking apron on, and she was holding this hat box and a large knife. I went to explore the upstairs instead. The winding stairs continued up, and there was one beautiful bedroom on each level. There were children on each floor, they too had the large constant fake smiles. There were also these gorgeous birds in cages, and tropical fish in tanks in each of the rooms. I went up the stairs on the other side too, those also had the same contents. I returned downstairs to that entrance hall, and that door still loomed, looking very ominous. I didn't see the mother any longer, so I walked toward the door, and went through it. On the kitchen table lay the decapitated body of the father. I looked at it in horror, before looking up to see the rest of the scene. The mother was still standing there with that butcher knife, and there was blood all over it and her apron. She still had the large smile, and in the hat box, that was now open, was the father's head.
